Nursery – Science: Recognising the Texture
Students at the Nursery level were excited to join the science lesson by having a fun activity. In that activity, the students were invited to recognize some textures like rough, smooth, hard, and soft from pom-pom, pebbles, sand, tile, and spiked rubber balls.
After they were introduced to the texture of each thing, the students were asked to recognize the texture of each thing and name the thing without looking at it (blindfolded). This activity aimed to strengthen students’ ability in recognizing the texture and also stimulate students’ tactile senses. ***
