Nursery – Science: Milk Rainbow Experiment
Nursery students explored a simple science experiment called the Milk Rainbow Experiment. During this activity, students observed what happens when drops of food colouring are added to milk and touched with a little dish soap and create a beautiful rainbow effect.
Through this experiment, students practiced observing changes, predicting what might happen, and describing what they saw. The activity also helped them recognise different colours and understand the concept of cause and effect, as they noticed how the soap made the colours move.
This hands-on experiment benefits students now by encouraging curiosity, focus, and early scientific thinking. Students learn that exploring and asking questions is an important part of learning.
