Nursery : Road Safety
Nursery students engaged in a role-play, “Road Safety.” The class is designed as a road complete with a zebra cross and a traffic light where one student pretended to be a car driver while others had to cross the road safely. In that activity, students were introduced to the step of safely crossing the road, like paying attention to the traffic light and holding an adult’s hand. The activity was also connected with the learning target of recognizing symbols and the sound of vowels in Bahasa Indonesia. Through role-play of crossing the road, the students were asked to touch the letters mentioned by the teachers. ***
