Nursery – Practical Life: Sweeping and Wiping
Nursery students engaged in a Practical Life activity focused on sweeping the floor, wiping a wet table, and throwing trash into the proper bin. With great enthusiasm, the students practiced cleaning a dirty floor by using a broom and carefully wiping a wet table with a cloth. They learned how to hold the broom correctly, move it in the right direction, and gather the trash into one place. After sweeping, they were guided to collect the trash and throw it into the bin, learning the importance of disposing of waste properly. While wiping the table, they practiced using a cloth effectively to absorb water and leave the surface clean and dry. Throughout the activity, the students showed concentration, responsibility, and excitement as they worked independently.
This activity provides many benefits for the students. It helps develop their fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. It also builds independence, responsibility, and good habits in maintaining cleanliness. By participating in Practical Life activities, students gain confidence, learn to care for their environment, and develop essential daily living skills that support their overall growth and character development.
