Nursery – Maths: Fruits Picking Race
As part of their ongoing exploration of trees, Nursery students were taken on an exciting outdoor adventure to observe the trees around the school. During this outing, they learned about the fascinating idea that trees can produce fruits. To bring this concept to life, they participated in a playful “fruit-picking” game, where they eagerly raced to collect colorful fruit cutouts scattered around. Once the fruits were picked, the students grouped them by color, enhancing both their observational and sorting skills.
This activity not only activated their physical energy through running and collecting but also engaged their cognitive abilities in recognizing, grouping, and naming colors. The hands-on nature of the game made learning fun and memorable, blending physical activity with cognitive development. The combination of outdoor exploration and playful learning sparked curiosity and excitement, leaving the students with a deeper understanding of trees and a sense of accomplishment in applying what they had learned. ***
