Nursery: Learning Festival
Nursery students recently celebrated a Learning Festival designed to highlight and strengthen their literacy skills. Throughout the week, students participated in integrated activities that allowed them to explore listening, speaking, and reading in joyful ways.
The learning festival began with the story The Very Busy Spider. Students listened attentively and explored the animal characters, learning to identify each one’s sound and movement. They also practiced simple role play, taking turns to act out scenes from the story and engaging in short conversations and dialogues inspired by the characters.
To extend their learning, students created and read patterns using the animal characters—a meaningful activity that combined literacy and logical thinking. These engaging experiences were designed to support early literacy development, helping students grow in comprehension, vocabulary, and oral expression in fun and interactive ways.
As literacy is a vital foundation for lifelong learning, we hope this learning festival serves as a joyful starting point in their journey to become confident, thoughtful communicators and future learners. ***
