Nursery: Exit Point “Minibeast Around Us”
Nursery students took part in an exciting Exit Point activity for the theme “Minibeast Around Us.” The students went on a nature walk around the school environment to observe different kinds of minibeasts in their natural habitats. During the exploration, the students were very excited to see butterflies and dragonflies flying around freely. They also observed how ants live and work together in colonies, and discovered bees and beetles around the area. As a special bonus, the students were delighted to see many birds flying across the sky, making the experience even more enjoyable and memorable.
During the activity, the teachers also provided important safety education. The students learned that some minibeasts can be dangerous and should not be touched. For example, bees may sting, and certain caterpillars can cause itchy skin. Students were reminded to observe carefully from a safe distance and to respect all living creatures in nature.
This observation activity provided many benefits for the students. It helped develop their curiosity, observation skills, and understanding of the natural world. The experience also encouraged environmental awareness, improved their vocabulary about insects and animals, and supported social interaction through group exploration and discussion.
