Nursery – Entry Point: The Brilliant Bug Ball
Nursery students had a wonderful time exploring nature as they began their learning journey with the Brilliant Bug Ball theme. With magnifying glasses in hand and curiosity in their hearts, they set off to search for tiny creatures living in their surroundings. From trees and plants to the grass, soil, and even under stones, the children eagerly investigated every nook and cranny. Their efforts were rewarded with exciting discoveries—ants, snails, worms, butterflies, and other fascinating mini beasts!
This hands-on exploration encouraged direct interaction with the natural environment, nurturing the children’s curiosity and allowing them to learn through experience. As they encountered each creature, students showed bravery and growing confidence, eagerly observing and engaging with their tiny discoveries.
Through this activity, they not only learned the names of various mini beasts but also began to understand how to adapt to different environments and the importance of caring for living things. By embracing this kind of real-world learning, the children are developing not just cognitive skills but also a lifelong appreciation for discovery, empathy, and the wonders of the natural world. ***
