Nursery – Entry Point: “Healthy Habits”
As an entry point to the Healthy Habits theme, Nursery students took part in a fun and meaningful roleplay activity. They confidently came to school dressed in their special paramedic outfits, ready to explore the world of caring and helping others. The activity began with an exciting rescue mission, where students pretended to save animals trapped inside a tent, encouraging problem-solving and teamwork.
After the rescue, the roleplay continued as students cared for their friends acting as patients, using toy medical kits to check their health and provide attention. This hands-on experience allowed children to practice empathy, understand the importance of looking after others, and learn simple health and hygiene routines in a playful and engaging way.
Through this activity, students also developed key social and cognitive skills. They enhanced their communication, creativity, and confidence while taking on different roles. More importantly, the experience helped lay the foundation for positive social behaviors, such as cooperation, compassion, and responsibility, which will support their long-term growth and understanding of healthy habits. ***
