Nursery – English: Stop and Go! Let’s Learn About Vehicles.
Nursery students had a fun and exciting activity to learn new vocabulary about transportation. Students were introduced to the words car, train, bicycle, bus, and traffic light. To help them understand and remember these words better, they played an interactive game called “Stop and Go.”
In this activity, the students first matched pictures of different vehicles with the correct words. They eagerly pointed to the images of cars, trains, bicycles, and buses while saying the words aloud together. After that, the students took turns riding toy cars around the classroom. One of their friends held up a Stop and Go sign, just like a real traffic light. When the sign said Go, the students drove their little cars happily, and when it said Stop, they had to freeze and wait for the next signal.
This activity brought many benefits for the students. It helped them build their vocabulary about transportation in a fun and meaningful way, while also developing their listening and concentration skills as they followed the Stop and Go signals. In addition, riding the toy vehicles supported their gross motor development by improving balance and coordination. The activity also encouraged social interaction and teamwork, as the students took turns and learned to cooperate with their friends. ***
