Nursery – English: Preparing the Food for the Guests
Students at the Nursery level learned the letters by role-playing as a customer and a waiter or waitress. In that activity, the students who pretended to be customers had to choose a letter and show it to the waiter or waitress. And then, the waiter or waitress needed to find the food picture that began with that letter.
The waiter or the waitress needed to serve the food pictures on the plate and give it to the customer. In addition to strengthening students’ understanding of letters, this activity was also useful in developing students’ communication skills and self-confidence. ***
