Nursery – English: Exploring the Fruits through Story and Taste.
In our English class, Nursery students deepened their understanding of fruit vocabulary through the story Handa’s Surprise. After listening attentively and responding to questions about the story, they had the opportunity to experience the fruits firsthand—seeing, touching, smelling, and even tasting them.
This activity was not only enjoyable but also meaningful. By tasting a variety of fruits, students learned that eating fruit is an important healthy habit that helps keep our teeth, heart, and body strong. At the same time, their sensory skills were stimulated as they explored different textures, smells, and flavours.
By connecting classroom learning with real-life experiences, students became more aware of the importance of healthy eating while experiencing the joy of discovery. Most importantly, this hands-on experience made learning more engaging and memorable. ***
