Nursery – English: Alphalympic

Nursery – English: Alphalympic

At the Nursery level, students were introduced to the Olympic Games—not just as a global sporting event, but as a symbol of unity that brings people from all around the world together. This introduction sparked meaningful conversations about teamwork, international celebration, and the joy of movement.

In the spirit of the Olympics, students participated in an exciting Alphabet Olympic Challenge, where they combined physical activity with early literacy skills. With great enthusiasm, children jumped over obstacles to match alphabet letters with corresponding objects, reinforcing their understanding of initial phonetic sounds in a fun and active way.

This engaging activity supported the development of both linguistic abilities and gross motor skills, encouraging students to move, think, and learn at the same time. It also fostered international mindedness, helping young learners understand that sport—and learning—can connect people across cultures. Through joyful play, movement, and exploration, our Nursery students discovered that learning is a journey that can be both meaningful and full of fun! ***
