Nursery – Bahasa Indonesia: It’s storytime!
“Once Upon a Time” is not just about listening to stories; it also provides students with the opportunity to share their own favorite storybooks. This time, students were encouraged to bring their favorite books from home and present to their classmates.
During the activity, it allowed the presenters to express themselves while building confidence, and it gave the others an opportunity to discover the moral values embedded in the stories.
Retelling the stories in their own words and answering simple questions afterward showed the students’ creativity, understanding and also their comprehension skills. Futher, this experience helped students develop their language skills, boost their confidence, and foster respect as they listened attentively to their classmates’ presentations.
Showing their excitement during their first experience of sharing storybooks, the students were encouraged to develop their literacy skills and foster a love for books and reading.
