Nursery – Arts: Drawing a Butterfly
Nursery students had a fun learning activity about minibeasts, especially butterflies. First, the students learned that butterflies are small creatures that live around us. They were also introduced to the simple life cycle of a butterfly, from a caterpillar that later changes into a butterfly.
After learning about butterflies, the students followed the teacher’s instructions to draw a butterfly step by step. When the drawing was finished, they coloured their butterfly to make it bright and beautiful.
This activity helps students develop their listening skills and practice following instructions. Drawing and colouring also help strengthen their fine motor skills and creativity. In the future, these skills will support their learning, help them express their ideas, and build their curiosity about nature and living things.
