Early Years Program – SLC: Showcasing Progress

EY1 and EY2 students took the spotlight in the Term 3 Student-Led Conference (SLC), presenting their learning progress to parents. With teachers as facilitators, students selected and demonstrated their favorite learning experiences using provided materials. For EY1, this was their first SLC experience, while EY2 students confidently led their second.

Parents played an essential role by actively listening, asking questions, and engaging in learning simulations with their children. Their encouragement and participation not only boosted students’ confidence but also deepened the bond between parents and children, reinforcing the value of learning beyond the classroom.

Beyond the event itself, SLC fosters essential lifelong skills. By taking ownership of their learning, students develop responsibility, self-reflection, and effective communication—key skills that will benefit them throughout their education and future careers. This experience nurtures resilience, critical thinking, and a growth mindset, empowering students to become independent and confident learners. The school deeply appreciates parents’ support and looks forward to strengthening this meaningful collaboration in the years to come.
