Early Years 2 : Math and English interconnected learning
Learning the theme of Going Places, EY2 students learned a lot about kinds of transportation, focusing on air transportation. In Maths, they made their paper plane and decorated it with shapes.
This activity enabled the students to highlight their skills in following instructions, develop their fine motor skills, and deepen their mastery of 2-dimensional shapes.
Using the paper plane, they made in English; the students excitingly reviewed the vocabulary by flying the paper plane, aiming for certain words.
They also explored other air transport by making a mini storybook to reflect their understanding of the story of the Raccoon and the Hot Air Balloon.
Through the activities, the students drew a line that each air transport has a specific mechanism to fly and stay balanced.
