Early Years 1 – English & Science : Sight Word Play and Ice Melting
EY1 students had a fun activity about ice and polar animals. They were invited to have a game by taking the correct animal pictures based on sight words shown by the teacher. This hands-on activity enabled the students to explore their sense of touch and also develop their early literacy skills in learning vocabulary. Furthermore, students also had a simple experiment about ice melting by pouring the ice with hot and cold water. Through this activity, students found that the heat of the hot water makes the ice break down into smaller pieces faster, and finally, they turn into water. ***
