Early Year 2 – Maths: Shapes Pattern
EY2 students were enthusiastic about making the air tank for the diver as it is one of the vital diving equipment that provides oxygen for the diver to breathe underwater. They learned about 2D and 3D shapes and arranged them into a pattern with three variants. They were invited to make their air tank using empty plastic bottles and decorate it by creating patterns of 2D shapes. This activity triggered students’ critical thinking about how to make their pattern consisting of 3 variants. They also learned to develop independence, creativity, and carefulness in decorating the air tank with their shapes and patterns. ***
