Early Year 2 – Entry Point: Ocean Treasures
To start the new unit of study ‘Treasures of the Ocean’, the EY2 students were encouraged to take part in an entry point activity by exploring the beach environment. They had the opportunity to do some activities such as making a sand castle, collecting shells, and catching sea creatures with a fishing rod.
Through this activity the children were able to show their curiosity about different environments, their eagerness to play with sand and water, and their ability to share and take turns using the equipment provided. ***
