Early Year 2 – English: Opposite Maket Through Collaboration
The ability to collaborate is very important for every student because it can strengthen their interaction and social skills. This week, EY2 students did a lot of collaborative activities in accordance with the sub-theme being studied ‘Build it’, one of which was in English lessons. After they learnt to recognise opposites in everyday life through games and discussions, they were challenged to work together in making mock-ups of a quiet forest environment and a bustling city environment. This activity made them learn to discuss to determine what pictures they would make and share the task of who would make it. Then they have to work together in arranging it and when presenting they also have to mention pictures that have opposite properties such as large-small size or tall-short. Collaborating makes EY2 students learn to respect others and learn to focus on their goals by maintain their emotional skills too. ***
