Early Year 2 – English: Making Soil Donut
The play outside theme gives children lots of opportunities to explore the outdoors. This time EY2 students played outside and made donuts from clay. They seemed to enjoy exploring something unusual. Even though they initially felt disgusted because they were afraid of getting dirty, in the end, they seemed to enjoy doing this activity and shaped the clay into donuts based on their imagination.
The children developed their motor skills and also had the opportunity to connect this experience with their previous experience of making donuts or eating donuts. ***
