Early Year 2 – English: Illustration of how the heart works
While learning the Healthy Habits theme, students of EY2 learned that it is important to maintain the health of our organs. Through the activity of the heart pump experiment, students learned the importance of keeping the heart healthy as it has a crucial function to pump blood that contains oxygen and nutrients all over our body. Using a pipette, students experienced the illustration of how the blood (colored water) pumped through the veins represented by the straw.
From this activity, students were exposed to listening skills by paying attention to the narration delivered by the teacher during the activity. Moreover, students’ curiosity got triggered, and they learned to build their reasoning skills. ***
