Early Year 2 – English: Exploring Jobs

EY2 students explored various jobs within their school community, focusing on roles that contribute to creating a positive school environment, such as teachers, the principal, and the supporting team.

The lesson began with introducing students to different roles in their school, helping them identify key people and understand their basic responsibilities. They discussed the importance of each role, gaining insight into how everyone’s job contributes to the school’s overall well-being.

Following this, students participated in an interactive Q&A session with members of the supporting team, including Mbak Tyas, Mbak Lia, and Pak Wahyu. This allowed them to engage directly, sparking their curiosity and strengthening their communication skills as they asked questions to learn more about each role’s contribution to their school.

To reinforce their understanding, students expressed what they learned through drawing, capturing their observations and interpretations of the various jobs they explored. This creative reflection not only helped deepen their knowledge but also allowed them to see the value of collaboration in creating a safe, happy space for learning and play. ***
