Early Year 2 – Arts: Diving Deeper
EY2 students had a great time learning about diving and the equipment that divers use. They were curious and excited as they learned about different tools and their functions. To make the lesson even more fun, they created self-portraits of themselves diving in the ocean. This craft activity helped develop their fine motor skills as they painted, cut, folded, and glued parts to make their underwater scenes. It also encouraged creativity, as each child used their imagination to design their unique picture. The activity also taught important social skills. When sharing their work with friends, the students practiced showing respect by complimenting each other’s efforts. This created a positive and supportive classroom environment. Overall, this craft helped the children learn about diving, while also improving their creativity, fine motor skills, and social interactions. It was a fun and educational experience for everyone!
