Early Year 2 – Arts: A Shop of My Own!
Our Early Years 2 architects took a deep dive into community helper spaces by exploring different types of shops and their key architectural parts—from roofs and walls to storefront display windows!
Drawing inspiration from real-world storefronts, the young creators designed their very own custom paper shop craft! Using precise pin punching techniques, students carefully followed outline patterns before customizing their shops with personal choices: picking what products to sell, deciding on store colors, and adding unique shop signs. To wrap up the project, each student proudly presented their completed storefront design to the class.
By combining fine motor precision, real-world architectural observation, and creative freedom, EY2 developed spatial awareness, decision-making, and verbal presentation skills!
