Early Year 1 – Orientation Week: Teamwork

EY1 students explored the power of teamwork while playing games on the playground. They talked about whether it’s easier to work alone or with friends. From this they learned that working together makes things easier and way more fun. They also got to practice taking turns, sharing, and helping each other along the way.

To explore this further, the students played a series of teamwork games. In the ball relay race, they took turns transferring a ball using a spoon, passing it along to their teammates. In the balloon balance walk, they worked in pairs to carry a balloon to the finish line without letting it drop. And in the parachute game, everyone held the parachute and worked together to keep the ball bouncing in the air. These activities helped EY1 students experience the joy of teamwork and build important social skills through play. ***
