Early Year 1 – Orientation Week: School Routines and Rules
During orientation week, EY1 students went on a “school tour” to revisit daily routines and school rules. They visited different areas like the reading corner, dining room, toilet, and playground. In each place, they learned what to do, followed simple rules, and completed small missions with help from teachers and school staff.
At the reading corner, they practiced reading and tidying up. In the dining room, they learned to sit nicely and ask for help politely. In the toilet, they reviewed good hygiene habits like washing hands and using tissue wisely. At the playground, they played on the slide and took turns.
Students also met important people in the school, such as the principal, teachers, and the S-Team. They greeted them politely and asked simple questions before collecting their signatures. This activity helped EY1 students feel more confident at school while learning about respect, responsibility, and how to be kind to others. ***
