Early Year 1 – Maths: Everybody Feels Happy
Today, EY1 students enjoyed a fun and meaningful activity that began with the heartwarming story “Everybody Feels Happy”. Inspired by the story, they created drawings of things that could bring happiness, such as houses, sun, and trees. As part of the activity, they explored the concepts of tall and short by comparing the height of the trees in their drawings.
Once they finished coloring, the students shared or exchanged their artwork with their friends, spreading joy and kindness. This activity engaged their Visual-Spatial Intelligence through creative expression, enhanced their mathematical thinking by comparing sizes, and fostered Interpersonal Intelligence as they interacted with peers. It was a wonderful way for them to connect emotionally, apply what they learned, and share happiness in a fun and interactive way! ***
