Early Year 1 – Maths: Dig Up the Fossils
EY1 students explored the work of palaeontologists through pretend play. They were so excited to find the buried fossils based on the clues given by the teacher as it was a maze. After finding the spot, students were allowed to work together to dig up the soil and clean up the fossils. The activity set enhances the students to practice their collaboration skills and logical thinking as they compared and matched the skeleton they found to different dinosaurs. ***
