Early Year 1 – Math: Let’s Count the Snakes!
EY1 students enthusiastically participated in a fun and engaging math lesson. They practiced writing the “next number” in the sand, following the trails left by imaginary snakes slithering by. The students were also challenged to “send the rattlesnakes back to the desert” by solving simple addition problems.
For this activity, each student was given a simple addition problem and asked to place a picture of a rattlesnake in the correct spot based on their answer. This hands-on activity helped reinforce their skills in identifying consecutive numbers and solving basic addition problems. The students were excited and fully engaged, making this lesson both enjoyable and educational. ***
