Early Year 1 Madrid – Maths : Recognising Shapes and Colours

Having learned about kinds of land transport, EY 1 students played pretend to ride a bus and sang “The Wheels on the Bus” happily. It became a fun start to lead the students in learning about shapes and colors. Students had to find and mention the shapes attached to their seats. Then, they had to classify those shapes based on the colors. As a closing of the learning, students created their own vehicles using colorful shapes based on their creativity. Students were so excited as they could play and learn at once. ***
