Early Year 1 – Learning Festival – The World of Wonders: The Very Hungry Caterpillar
EY1 students celebrated the end of the academic year with a joyful performance at the Learning Festival: The World of Wonders. This special event was held to mark the closing of the school year and to celebrate all the learning and growth the children had experienced.
The students brought the beloved story The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle to life on stage. They played the roles of caterpillars, cocoons, and butterflies. In the story, the hungry caterpillar ate many fruits and sweet treats, but still felt hungry. At last, he ate a green leaf, built a cocoon, and transformed into a beautiful butterfly.
Through this performance, the children explored the life cycle of a butterfly and developed their literacy skills. They sang songs, recited rhymes, and acted out the story with enthusiasm. The experience helped them grow in confidence, teamwork, and creativity, making it a meaningful and memorable way to end the school year. ***
