EY1 students concluded the Going Places Exit Point theme with a fun outing. They had the opportunity to learn about the procedures and rules of riding public transportation—especially buses—through real-life experiences.

The activity began with listening to an explanation from the DISHUB team about the procedures and rules for ridding on the bus, as well as an introduction to several traffic signs. After receiving enough information, the students had the opportunity to express their knowledge by riding the real bus provided by the DISHUB team. During the trip, the students also learned about several famous places in Solo and observed traffic conditions and traffic signs appeared.

After they arrived at Taman Plaza as the destination, the students were invited to recall their bus trip experience by filling check list sheet as learning confirmation.  Moreover, the students were also invited to learn how to behave nicely in public space.

Conducting this activity provides helps the students to reinforce the classroom concepts through real experiences. Students will have chance to be respect for public spaces and awareness of social rules.
