Early Year 1 – Entry Point: Ocean Treasures
The EY1 students started a new unit of learning, “Ocean Treasure,” with an entry point. They joined the role-play of visiting the beach and exploring the sand by playing with their friends. The students were also introduced to various sea creatures and learned about sea turtles. They were also introduced to activities that can be done at the beach, such as playing with sand, making a sand castle, and swimming. The teacher also informed students how to stay safe while playing at the beach, like playing with the sand carefully to avoid the sand getting in their eyes, being accompanied by their parents when they want to swim at the beach, and applying sunscreen cream to protect the skin from sun exposure. The students looked happy and enthusiastic in this entry point activity as they experienced the fun and meaningful learning. ***
