Early Year 1 – English: Rescuing Polar Animals
EY1 students had a blast participating in a fun and engaging activity where they “rescued” polar animals trapped in ice. Their mission was to carefully free the frozen animals and bring them to safety. As they worked, the students practiced identifying different polar animals by matching the animal pictures to the correct words, enhancing their vocabulary and language skills.
In addition to learning about polar animals, the activity also provided a valuable sensory experience as the students explored the texture and temperature of the ice. This hands-on, multi-sensory approach made the learning process both educational and enjoyable, combining cognitive development with sensory exploration. The students were fully immersed in the activity, making it a fantastic way to learn while having fun! ***
