Early Year 1 – English: Let’s Go For Treasure Hunt!
EY1 students conducted an investigation through role-play to understand and experience what it’s like to be an archaeologist. They began the activity by identifying various locations around the school playground on the map. Then, they went to each location one by one to search for hidden puzzle pieces, just like an archeologist hunts for the treasure.
Once they found the treasure, they had to work together to assemble it and discover what the picture was. After the picrure was completly assambled, they were invited to learn some words related to the body parts of some dinosaurs picture.
This activity was designed not only to strengthen students’ understanding of the introduced vocabulary but also to help them practice teamwork, cooperation, and turn-taking. Last but not least, this activity allowed students to explore different scenarios and develop problem-solving strategies.
