Early Year 1 & Early Year 2 – Reading Program: Reflection and Storytelling Session
EY1 and EY2 students gathered to reflect on what they had accomplished during Reading Program Phase 1 and to prepare for the upcoming Phase 2. The session provided an opportunity for the students to look back on their reading journey, recognize their progress, and set new goals for continued improvement.
During the activity, several students enthusiastically shared their experiences of joining Book Reference Time, expressing how they enjoyed exploring different stories and learning new words. The teachers also took this moment to appreciate and celebrate the students’ efforts and enthusiasm throughout the reading program, recognizing their growing interest and confidence in reading.
To make the session even more engaging, A special guest, Mr. Erwin, one of the reading coaches, joined the session to share an engaging story with the students. His lively storytelling captured the students’ attention and sparked their imagination. Through his story, the students not only enjoyed listening but also learned how to retell a story using their own words and expressions. The activity was a meaningful and enjoyable experience that inspired the students to continue their reading journey with excitement and curiosity. ***
