Early Year 1 – Arts: River
The EY1 students recently took part in an art lesson where they created a collage art and craft piece entitled ‘River’. This activity was part of the Let’s Play Outside theme which encourages students to learn more about their environment. During the lesson, the students were tasked with coloring a picture of a river and cutting out Asturo paper to decorate using collage techniques.
This technique helped the students to concentrate and be careful when cutting, arranging, and pasting the paper. Through this activity, they were able to practice and improve their fine motor skills in a fun and engaging way. ***
