Early Year 1 – Arts: Dinosaur

EY1 students explored the uniqueness of different dinosaur body parts and discussed their functions. They identified special features such as horns, spikes, wings, and tails, and learned how each part helps the dinosaur in its own way.

Students observed a drawn dinosaur body part and identified the 2D shapes they could see in the picture. They then created their own dinosaur art by colouring the outline first with their favourite colours, followed by cutting and assembling it neatly.

This activity supported shape recognition, creativity, fine motor skills, and sequencing as students recalled and shared the steps of their art-making process.
