Early Year 1 – Arts: Dinosaur Craft

EY1 students had an exciting art activity as they explored shapes through a fun dinosaur craft! They began by recalling the big and small dinosaurs from the previous activity and discovered that they could create their own dinosaurs using simple shapes.

With crayons in hand, they first coloured the dinosaur body parts, choosing any colour they liked. Then, they carefully cut out the shapes, practicing their fine motor skills. Piece by piece, they arranged and pasted them, transforming basic shapes into unique dinosaurs.

As they built their dinosaurs, they mixed colours creatively, making each one special. Some chose bright and bold combinations, while others preferred softer tones. Their imagination shone through as they selected colours that matched their vision of a perfect dinosaur!

This activity wasn’t just about crafting, it was a journey of learning and creativity, allowing students to explore shapes, express themselves, and bring their ideas to life!
