Early Year 1 – Arts: Creating a Toy Dragonfly
Within My Toy Shop theme, students learnt about the material of toys. The students were also informed that the toys can be made out of anything, including the materials that can be found around them such as used materials. In arts lesson, the students were invited to create a simple toy dragonfly using ice cream sticks. They were guided to arrange and paste them into one to form a dragonfly. At last, they could decorate their own toy dragon fly pasting some sequins. This activity was set to introduce the value of taking care of the environment by utilizing or reusing used materials. Moreover, this activity could help students in developing students fine motor and creativity. ***
