Baby Class – Sensory: Colorful Sensory Play with Oats

The Baby Class enjoyed an exciting sensory play activity where they explored colorful balls hidden in a tray of oats. Using their hands, the babies dug, squeezed, and mixed the oats while discovering the bright balls within.

This activity offered multiple developmental benefits. It stimulated their senses of touch and sight, while supporting coordination as they practised fine motor skills by grasping and moving the balls. The activity also promoted concentration, curiosity, and early problem-solving as the babies figured out how to locate and separate the balls from the oats.

The impact of this experience extended beyond playtime. Through the activity, babies developed stronger hand muscles, improved hand-eye coordination, and an early awareness of colors and textures. Sensory play like this lays a strong foundation for future learning, helping young children grow into confident and engaged explorers of their surroundings. ***
