Baby Class – Motoric: Moo Play “Feed the Cow”
The babies had a delightful motoric session with a farm animal theme. The babies engaged in a hands-on activity where they pretended to feed cows using colorful balls. With a cow-feeding box, the babies enthusiastically participated, taking turns “feeding” the cows.
This playful activity was more than just fun—it was designed to support their fine motor coordination by grasping and aiming the balls into the cow’s mouth, while their social skills were nurtured through turn-taking and cooperative play. Language exposure was also integrated as teachers guided the children with farm-related vocabulary, enriching their understanding of animals and their environment.
This activity benefited children to develop confidence in exploring their surroundings, improve their hand-eye coordination, and lay a foundation for future cognitive skills such as problem-solving, colours and connecting the vocabularies they had learnt. ***
