Baby Class – Motoric: Feeding Shapes

The babies enjoyed an engaging outdoor activity where they practiced sorting shapes using a cardboard shape box. Each baby took turns picking up the stone-shaped objects and carefully placing them into the matching holes. They observed the different shapes, explored the texture with their hands, and focused on fitting each piece correctly.

This simple activity brought many developmental benefits, especially in strengthening their fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination. It also supported their early cognitive growth as they learned to recognize and match shapes. Being together in the same play area encouraged them to watch each other, take turns, and build early social interaction.

The experience creates a lasting impact by building a strong foundation in early problem-solving and spatial awareness. As the babies grow, the confidence and curiosity gained from activities like this will help them engage in more complex learning tasks.
