Baby Class – Manual: Tapioca Porridge Play

The babies in Boom and Tweet Level participated in a sensory play activity using tapioca porridge and colorful balls. In this activity, the babies explored the thick, soft texture of the porridge by touching, squeezing, and moving the balls with their hands. They practiced picking up the balls and placing them into a clear container and plastic bowl, allowing them to explore freely while being guided by the teachers. 

This tapioca porridge play offered rich sensory benefits for babies. The unique texture stimulated their sense of touch and helped develop sensory awareness. Scooping, grasping, and transferring the balls supported fine motor development and hand–eye coordination. In addition, exposure to bright colors helped strengthen early visual recognition and cognitive skills, while the open-ended nature of the activity encouraged curiosity and concentration.

The lasting impact of this activity lies in building babies’ confidence and comfort with sensory exploration. Positive early experiences with different textures help babies become more adaptable and open to new learning situations.
