Baby Class – Fine Motor: Stacking Plastic Rings
Baby Boom and Genius explored the playground to have motoric activity. They were provided with plastic rings in the water and some cones. At that time, they could explore the wet rings while splashing the water. The teacher also exposed the color of the rings they were holding and assisted in how to hold the rings properly. Then they stacked them through the cone properly.
Through this activity, the skill mainly stimulated was fine motor skills. They learned how to hold the rings properly and staked them correctly on the cone. Eye-hand coordination was also exposed as they needed to see where the cone was and manage their hands properly for holding and putting the rings.
This activity is good for developing the student’s skill in holding a particular object and not dropping it easily. Exposing the babies to fine motor activity becomes the foundation for their practical life skills and pre-writing skills. ***
