Baby Class – Fine Motor Activity: Watering Plants
Dealing with the learning theme “Nature”, the babies conducted an activity at the playground for watering the plants. They explored the playrground barefoot and brought the watering plants properly, then watered the plants surrounding.
At that time, they learnt the way to connect what they have learnt in the classroom dealing with the nature such as stone, soil, tree, grass etc with the real condition of school surrounding. They were also assisted to bring the watering can properly hence the water came out.
This activity was designed to build their awareness for caring their surrounding. They were installed with a simple knowledge that plants need water and sun for living. They had to help the plants for growing up by giving some water. Their manual skill were also enhanced when they had to hold the water can properly. It could help them for improving their finger coordination in holding something.
