Toddler – Science Animal Habitats: Jungle and Savanna

Continuing toddler’s exploration about animals, in this science lesson they were introduced to animal habitats: jungle and savanna. Children were invited to watch and observe animal habitats through the videos. Students showed their confidence to recognise the animals appear to the video.

Toddlers then were encouraged to classify the animals based on the habitat by pasting the animal pictures in turn. They also their confidence to imitate the animal movements. Besides pasting the animal pictures, they also were asked to walk by following the maze.

This activity give several benefits for toddler students. It helps students to deepen their understanding in recognising the name of the animals and their habitat. Further, it also develops their gross motor skills in following the maze and imitating the animal movements. ***
