Toddler – Math: My New Shapes

Toddler students participated to recognise the shapes introduced by teachers through singing and dancing activity. They also learned about shapes using the flash cards. They showed their enthusiasm by pointing and repeating after teacher.

Toddlers were introduced to circle, square, star, and triangle. In the classroom, they were invited to find objects that have the same shapes such as the clock, book, and classroom decoration. Next, they were encouraged to colour the shape pictures using colourful crayons (red, blue, yellow, and green). Then, students matched the pictures to the correct places provided by teachers.

These fun activities helped students to recognise the shapes by colouring and matching the shape pictures through hands-on experience. Matching the shape pictures builds the  students’ ability in recognising and understanding geometrical shapes and different colours.
